We throw away more than
Over 40% of it is packaging – most of it tossed after just one use.
I thought it was insane. But when I tried to shop more sustainably, I quickly realised how hard it actually was.

I thought it was insane. But when I tried to shop more sustainably, I quickly realised how hard it actually was.
Everything was wrapped in plastic, and the sustainable alternatives were either expensive, messy or just... not practical.
So I started looking for small changes that could actually work in everyday life. The first thing I landed on was soap.
I tried refill pouches. They cost more – and made more of a mess.
Then I turned the bottle around and read the label: up to 90 % water.
That’s when it hit me:
We already have water at home. Why are we shipping it around the world in plastic bottles?
It creates unnecessary transport emissions – and bulky plastic packaging we don’t really need.
And that’s how the idea for Elico was born:
A dispenser you buy once. Refill tablets you mix with water from your tap.
No plastic bottles. No wasted transport.
Just a better feeling – for you, and for the planet.

Small soap. Big difference.
Elico makes it easy to choose something that both feels good and does good. Our refill tablets are made with natural, vegan ingredients and suit even sensitive skin. The packaging is biodegradable, and instead of shipping around up to 90 % water, you mix the soap yourself, straight from the tap. That means less plastic, lower emissions and glass bottles you can use again and again. All without compromising on scent, design or wellbeing.
Over 100,000 plastic bottles kept out of production, landfills, and the ocean.
More than 5,000 people have already made the switch.
